It’s a hands-on role covering new development, ongoing improvements, bug fixes and integrations with third-party services. The award-winning business is investing in its systems and you’ll be part of ongoing development and improvement work. We’re recruiting for an established professional services business modernising their reporting and data platform. They’re hiring a Senior BI Analyst to deliver “decision-ready” reporting, improve data quality and metric consistency, and increase automation across their analytics workflows. What you’ll do: Develop and maintain scalable data models and reporting outputs that support business needs Lead data quality initiatives, ensuring accuracy and consistency Reduce reporting issues and manual work with smarter modelling and automation processes Partner with stakeholders to translate business questions into requirements and solutions Help build and improve the company’s new reporting approach as it’s being developed Provide analysis to identify trends, drivers, and improvement opportunities across the business What we’re looking for: Expert SQL experience (analysis, modelling, working with complex datasets) Python experience for analysis, automation and prototyping Databricks experience/exposure in an analytical setting Strong understanding of metrics, definitions, anomalies and data quality Strong communication skills with technical and non-technical stakeholders 3+ years in BI/analytics Nice to have: Power BI (or similar BI tooling) Location / working pattern Hybrid: typically 2–3 days per week onsite. We’re supporting an FCA-regulated organisation with the hire of an Analytics Engineer to strengthen its modern data and analytics capability. This is a hands-on role focused on building trusted, reusable data assets that support reporting, product insight and decision-making across the organisation. What you’ll be doing:   Designing and maintaining clean, scalable data models (e.g. star/snowflake schemas) and defining consistent business metrics Building and improving ELT pipelines in Databricks using SQL and Python/PySpark, with a focus on reliability and performance Feeding curated datasets into Power BI (including modelling and DAX where required) to support trusted reporting Working closely with stakeholders to gather requirements, translate them into data logic, and improve how analytics is consumed Contributing to good practice around documentation, data quality checks, lineage/metadata and version control, helping raise standards across the analytics function What we’re looking for:   Hands-on experience in Databricks plus strong SQL and Python/PySpark Evidence of owning end-to-end analytics delivery Comfortable working with business and product stakeholders, challenging requirements when needed and translating them into clear data logic. Strong data modelling skills and confidence defining/standardising metrics Good Power BI experience (data modelling; DAX beneficial) Location / working pattern Hybrid: typically 2–3 days per week onsite, split between London and Ipswich
