Technical Skills & Experience Strong PHP / Laravel expertise with solid OOP principles Hands-on experience with modern JavaScript frameworks (React, Angular, or Next.js) Strong understanding of MySQL database design and optimisation Proven experience leading or mentoring developers Experience conducting code reviews, 1-2-1's and supporting best practices Familiarity with Agile delivery, sprint planning and the ticketing tools (Jira, ClickUp) Understanding of secure coding, testing methodologies and deployment processes What You Will Be Doing Lead the day-to-day development, testing and deployment of multiple systems Provide mentorship, direction and code reviews across the development team Plan and prioritise workloads to ensure deadlines and quality standards are met Maintain and evolve existing web platforms, APIs and mobile integrations Collaborate with stakeholders and the IT leadership team to define technical roadmaps Troubleshoot performance issues, implement improvements, and reduce technical debt Ensure systems meet secure coding standards and are well-documented Foster a culture of accountability, collaboration, and continuous improvement Why This Role?
