About the Role
An established UK organisation is seeking an experienced Head of IT to lead and evolve its technology function during a period of operational maturity and controlled change.
Reporting directly to the Managing Director, this role has end-to-end responsibility for IT strategy, infrastructure, service delivery, security, and governance. The successful candidate will lead a multi-disciplinary internal IT function through senior specialists, while remaining technically engaged in architecture, resilience, and major incidents where required.
This is a senior leadership role suited to someone who balances hands-on technical credibility with strong governance, people leadership, and commercial awareness.
The Role
You will be responsible for:

The Role
You will be responsible for:
- Setting and delivering the IT strategy and roadmap aligned to business priorities
- Owning IT operations, infrastructure, and 24/7 service delivery
- Ensuring system resilience, cyber security, disaster recovery, and business continuity
- Leading IT governance, risk, compliance, and audit readiness
- Providing leadership and direction to senior technical specialists across infrastructure, development, testing, automation, and data
- Overseeing internal systems development, controlled change, and release management
- Owning data governance and management reporting (including BI and operational reporting)
- Managing the IT budget, forecasting, suppliers, and strategic partners
- Building a culture of service excellence, accountability, and continuous improvement
About You
You will bring:
- Proven experience as a Senior IT leader in a complex environment
- Strong background in IT operations, infrastructure, and service delivery
- Experience leading cyber security, resilience, and continuity programmes
- Solid Microsoft enterprise experience (M365, Azure, identity, security), with broader infrastructure exposure
- Experience leading and delivering through senior technical specialists
- Good working knowledge of ITIL and security or governance frameworks (e.g. Cyber Essentials Plus, ISO 27001)
- The confidence to operate hands-on in complex or high-impact situations when needed
- The ability to translate technical risk into clear, commercial language

AI Automation Developer

Our client is looking for an AI Automation Engineer to help design and deliver practical, AI-driven automation across the business.
This is a hands-on role focused on building workflows, integrations, and conversational solutions using modern AI and automation tooling. You will work closely with stakeholders to understand business needs, then design and implement solutions using platforms such as n8n, RPA tools, AI agents, and chatbots. Overall transformation strategy is led by the IT Director, with this role focused firmly on delivery.
The role is primarily on-site, with some flexible working.
The role
You will be responsible for identifying opportunities where AI and automation can improve efficiency and user experience, then building solutions that are robust, scalable, and easy for the business to adopt.
Key responsibilities include:
Working with stakeholders to understand processes, data flows, and user requirements
Designing and building automation workflows using RPA tools such as UiPath, Power Automate, Automation Anywhere, as well as web-based orchestration platforms such as n8n
Developing AI-enabled solutions including chatbots, assistants, and AI agents for internal and customer-facing use cases
Integrating AI services such as OpenAI, CrewAI, or similar into business workflows
Connecting systems via APIs, webhooks, and event-driven automation
Creating technical documentation and supporting user adoption of AI tools
Ensuring solutions align with security, data governance, and responsible AI principles
Monitoring, maintaining, and continuously improving live automations and AI solutions
What our client is looking for
Strong hands-on experience building AI-driven automations and workflows
Experience working with orchestration tools such as n8n, Make, Zapier, or similar
Experience analysing business processes and delivering automation using RPA tools
Practical experience designing and deploying chatbots or AI assistants
Confidence engaging with non-technical stakeholders and translating requirements into working solutions
A pragmatic, delivery-focused mindset, prioritising real business outcomes over experimentation
Skills and experience
Hands-on experience with workflow automation platforms (n8n, Make, Zapier, etc.)
Experience integrating large language models and AI services (OpenAI, Azure OpenAI, etc.)
