About the Role

We’re working with a well-established, Suffolk-based organisation operating in a regulated environment. They’re looking to appoint a Team Lead to take ownership of a small, close-knit internal development team and keep delivery moving.

Hybrid working | 2–3 days per week onsite

This is a leadership role first and foremost. You’ll be responsible for guiding the team, setting direction, and acting as the link between the business and the technical work. You’ll stay close enough to the detail to add value, but this is not a full-time hands-on development role.

What the role looks like day to day:
  • Leading and supporting a team of software developers, including senior and full-stack engineers
  • Owning agile delivery: planning, prioritisation, delivery flow, and continuous improvement
  • Working closely with non-technical stakeholders to shape requirements and manage expectations
  • Translating business needs into clear technical direction and delivery plans
  • Keeping standards high through sensible oversight of quality, reviews, and ways of working
  • Managing multiple workstreams without delivery slipping
What is required:
  • Proven experience leading a software development team
  • Clear ownership of agile delivery, with confident use of Jira or Azure DevOps
  • Strong stakeholder communication (able to explain the “why” as well as the “what”)
  • Good overall technical background (e.g. C#/.NET, JavaScript, Azure, SQL etc.)
If you’d like more details on the organisation, team setup, or interview process, apply and get in touch for a confidential conversation.
