The Role

This is a people and delivery leadership role, not a hands-on development position. The focus is on managing developers, improving ways of working, and acting as the bridge between the business and the development team.
What the role looks like day to day:
Leading and supporting the team of software developers, including senior and full-stack engineers

We’re working with a specialist equipment business in Framlingham that’s looking to add a Service Technician to the team.
The role centres on repairing and maintaining electrical equipment used within their hire fleet, so hands-on electronics experience is a real advantage, someone who’s spent time repairing electronics, using tools and ideally doing a bit of soldering.
What you’ll be doing
Fault-finding on inspection kits, monitors and control units
Repairing or replacing components such as connectors, cables, lights, circuit boards, and small mechanical parts
Carrying out basic soldering and wiring repairs
Cleaning, preparing and testing equipment before it goes back out on hire
Making sure repair notes and service records are kept accurate and up to date
